Great news: We are creating an O’C Alumni Association, and we wanted to know if there are former students in our neighborhood and surrounding Valley that would like to be a part of our new initiative!
We realized that a good percentage of our parents that attend our Open House events were once students here at Mike O'Callaghan, and their children attended our school as well. Many of our alumni come onto campus during these events to see former teachers that still teach here, which we think is awesome! Even our Scholastic Book Fair Representative, Bobby Jo Brown, conducted her first book fair event at O'C back in the mid 1990’s because her son was a student here!
We believe that creating a Mike O'Callaghan Middle School Alumni Association would allow our alumni and community an opportunity to be more involved in our school programs, events, and planning . This would also give our students an avenue to be more involved with the community, and support local businesses, initiatives, and events.
