What programs of study do you offer?

We are a STEM middle school with four programs of study. As a new 6th grade students, they will get the opportunity to learn about all four program areas before deciding what the student wants to specialize in for 7th and 8th grade.

    • Creates content for daily schoolwide broadcasts

  • Web/App Design
    • Utilizes CodeHS for developing and designing websites
    • Uses a hands-on approach for acquiring skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    • Equips practical skills in creation and customization of web pages
    • Utilizes Project Lead the Way to develop apps for mobile devices
 

How do I find out if my application was selected in the lottery?

In order to find out if your application was selected in the lottery, log into the CCSD school choice application platform at applyccsd.schoolmint.com. For more information, see our FAQs or check the CCSD magnet website at magnet.ccsd.net.
 

My application says it was "SELECTED" in the lottery....now what?

Congratulations! You are being offered a seat at O'Callaghan MS i³ Learn Academy! You MUST log into the school choice platform at applyccsd.schoolmint.com and ACCEPT YOUR SEAT as soon as possible and before the deadline. If you have questions regarding the selection/acceptance, please contact the O'Callaghan MS i³ Learn Academy Magnet Office at 702-799-7340.
 

My application is marked "ALTERNATE POOL"...what does that mean?

If your application status says "alternate pool," no action is necessary at this time. Applications may end up in the alternate pool if more applications were received than seats available. You were not offered a seat at this time, but if additional seats open, alternate lotteries will run between from late March through the first two weeks of the new school year. Keep an eye out for future notifications, you may still be selected in a future lottery. I've accepted my seat at O'Callaghan MS i³ Learn Academy for the 2025-2026 school year. What's next?

You will be contacted by the O'Callaghan MS i³ Learn Academy magnet staff regarding your next steps.
 
ALL students will also have to complete CCSD Online Registration (OLR).


I missed the deadline to apply for the 2025-2026 school year. What are my options?

Late applications are accepted in the late spring.
 
In the event seats become available and we have exhausted the on-time applications, applications will be accepted for those seats during the late application window.

How do I apply for O'Callaghan MS i³ Learn Academy?

Apply to O'Callaghan MS i³ Learn Academy at apply.magnet.ccsd.net.
 
Each student applicant may make three choices. The first choice should be the school the student is most interested in.

 

Am I eligible for transportation to O'Callaghan MS i³ Learn Academy?

Transportation is provided for students who live within the O'Callaghan MS i³ Learn Academy transportation zone. Check eligibility by clicking the buttons below. Contact the CCSD transportation office at 702-799-8100 if you have any questions. Please note: Parents must provide transportation for magnet students who live outside the zone.
 

What is Probation?

Per the magnet contract, all CCSD magnet students agree to maintain an overall 2.0 GPA, no more than 10 absences (excused or unexcused) per semester, no D's or F's, no N's or U's, no excessive tardies, and no behavior infractions. Any magnet student who fails to meet one or more of these criteria will be placed on Probation, with the following procedure:

  • Probation conference will be scheduled/held with the student and parent(s).
  • Conditions of the probation will be outlined, in writing, which may include but are not limited to:
    • After school tutoring
    • Remedial courses
    • Summer school
    • Online credit retrieval
    • Community service
    • School beautification, school service
    • Other school-based requirement
  • Students who do not meet the terms of the probationary contract will be dismissed from the magnet at the end of the school year and return to their zoned school.

Do I have to reapply to O'Callaghan MS i³ Learn Academy each year?

No. Once a student is enrolled at O'Callaghan MS i³ Learn Academy, they remain students at O'Callaghan MS i³ Learn Academy until they move on to high school, withdraw, or are dismissed.


Can I withdraw from O'Callaghan MS i³ Learn Academy?

Per the magnet contract, all CCSD magnet students agree to remain enrolled in the magnet school for the entire year. Any student may withdraw from O'Callaghan MS i³ Learn Academy at the end of the school year.
